Here are some highlights that we'd like to share as you explore our school:
-
Aldrich
has a rich history and quality reputation in the Rochester community. The school was initially established as part
of a Mayo Clinic study of child development in the 1940s.
- We
offer a nationally accredited program with high standards. Teachers take over 20 hours of continuing
education annually, and the facility and equipment are safe, secure, and age
appropriate.
-
Our
wonderful staff is welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. On average, our 22 teachers have been at
Aldrich for 11 years. You will find that
they enjoy developing relationships with your child and your family.
- We
promote hands-on learning which helps prepare children for kindergarten. Children learn through experimentation,
manipulation, observation, and social interaction. We call this 'child-directed learning.’
- Aldrich
also offers opportunities to enrich children’s experiences and extend their days. Choose from a Spanish class, Lunch Bunch,
enrichment courses, and/or our afternoon Kids Club.
- We
have our own facility, specifically designed for preschoolers. We have 7
classrooms, 3 playgrounds, 2 playrooms, and a library which
allow options for a variety of stimulating activities throughout the
school
day.
-
We
embrace diversity. The hallways are
lined with flags representing the different countries of our past and present
families. Currently we have families
that speak over 20 different languages at home.
- Aldrich
is fortunate to have an active Board of Directors which provides families with opportunities
such as a fall festival, book fair, spring carnival, parent outreach classes, family
restaurant nights, and much more.
